Great Escape

Stop by one of the world's most prestigious sports events.

This weekend, get out of the house and head down to Flushing Meadows Corona Park and check out one of the world’s most prestigious grand slam tennis tournaments - The U.S. Open.

For decades, Queens has been home to the tournament, which draws some of the most celebrated names in tennis. The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, located in the park, is beautifully lined with shops, boutiques and tons of eateries that feature everything from barbeque to Chinese, pizza and ice cream.

Its centerpiece, Arthur Ashe Stadium, has provided a home for some of the greatest tennis matches of all time.
