Stop In to Experience the Fresh Authentic Taste of Grimaldi's Pizzeria

Pizza is often found at the top of comfort food lists, so what's better than an authentic slice straight from a gourmet coal brick oven?

Nestled on the lower level of the Douglaston Shopping Plaza, Grimalid’s Pizzeria has been tantalizing taste buds ever since it moved to the neighborhood a little more than two years ago.

The eatery, which was founded by Pasti Grimaldi more than 20 years ago in Brooklyn, uses a coal-fired brick oven to produce a crispy, crusted and smoky-flavored taste in every bite of their pizzas.

The chefs pride themselves on using the freshest of ingredients daily. Toppings include, but are not limited to, pepperoni, sausage, onions, tomatoes, basil, anchovies and mozzarella cheese.

But unlike most pizzerias, Grimaldi’s does not serve single slices.

A single-topping pizza costs $4 and none of Grimaldi's pies are more than $16. The pizzeria is also famous for its chopped salad, which includes fresh Romaine lettuce, red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and fresh mozzarella.

Grimaldi’s, which does not deliver, is open from noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and noon to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

To experience the taste of Grimaldi’s famous pizzas, visit the restaurant at 242-02 61st Ave. in Douglaston.
