Bayside's The Shoes I Love has vacated its current site on Bell Boulevard and is in the process of securing a new locale on the commercial strip.
A sign in the window of the store's previous site at 38-35 Bell Blvd. says that the shoe chain store would be moving down the block and planned to reopen thus fall.
The store's owner could not be reached for comment and Lyle Sclair, the Bayside Village Business Improvement District's executive director, said that a new site for the shoe store had not yet been chosen.
"I know they are looking for a location and trying to figure out the space requirements," Sclair said. "The current site doesn't match their requirements."
