Former Little Neck Resident Opens N-Hance Franchise in Community

Company offers dustless and odorless wood cabinet and floor renewal services.

A former Little Neck denizen with a long-time interest in home improvement has opened a franchise of remodeling company N-Hance in the community.

Aaron Popowsky, 29, who grew up in Little Neck and now lives in Long Island City, recently debuted his N-Hance franchise site at 44-01 Little Neck Parkway.

N-Hance offers wood cabinet and floor renewal services that can typically be completed within a day and without dust or odor, Popowsky said.

“Our removal process is dustless and most jobs are completed in one day,” he said. “The process enable folks that have a kitchen they like, but don’t want to completely renovate, to achieve a new factory finish.”

Popowsky said he has dealt with clients who previously paid as much as $40,000 to completely replace their cabinets, whereas N-Hance can fix up existing cabinets to look brand new for a few thousand dollars.

“We have an instant pure finish – there’s no dust and no odor,” Popowsky said. “And it’s all low VOC from our laboratories and water based, so it dries quickly and is eco-friendly.”

Popowsky’s company uses a bright UV light machine to cure the finish instantly when renovating floors.

“People can quickly go back to their lives and move their furniture back,” he said. “During many instances when renewing a floor, you have to sand it. And, typically, there’s dust in the air for about two weeks.”

Popowsky said his N-Hance franchise store will cover the five boroughs, but will focus primarily on northeast Queens and Brooklyn.

Services offered by the site will include cabinet service, which includes an intense cleaning, as well as color shifting, during which wood is revived and dyed.

The company will also offer a color change either by hand, which gives an antique look, or with a spray gun, which gives more of a factory-look as well as floor renewals.

“Our services are for people who like their cabinets or floors, but want to give them a new look or folks who want to achieve a different look altogether,” Popowsky said.

He said he decided to get involved with the N-Hance franchise after having “grown up” in the general construction industry.

“I worked for general contractors and still own my own general construction company,” he said. “For me, the biggest thing was to be able to offer something unique.”
