Mosquito Spraying Thursday in Northeast Queens
Department of Health will conduct spraying overnight in Auburndale.
The city's Department of Health will conduct mosquito spraying in Auburndale and several other Queens communities on Thursday evening.
The spraying will begin at 8:15 p.m. and will be completed by 6 a.m. on Friday.
Neighborhoods that will be sprayed include Auburndale, Murray Hill, Pomonok, Queensboro Hill, Springfield Gardens, Laurelton, Saint Albans and Cambria Heights.
The DOH suggests following these guidelines during the spraying:
- Set air conditioner vents to the closed position.
- Remove children's toys, equipment and clothes from outdoor areas.
- People with asthma should stay indoors during spraying.
