Laura Altimari  has combined her broad experience in special events, marketing, new media and public relations  by working with the USTA for the US Open Tennis Championships here in Queens, as well as signature culinary events with the Food Network’s/Travel and Leisure’s New York City Wine and Food Festival, City Harvest’s Bid Against Hunger with Chef Michael Ginor of Hudson Valley Foie Gras, New Taste of the Upper West Side, Wine and Spirits Magazine and has provided newsworthy coverage of the iSi Sugar and Whips Pastry event at Astor Center and the James Beard Foundation Awards at Avery Fisher Hall.

 Laura was also instrumental with Edible Queens magazine to launch and establish the brand here in her home borough by organizing the inaugural cover shoot for Edible Queens by recruiting celebrity chef's Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert. 

Her corporate experience covers tenures within the hospitality and restaurant industry with the Rockresorts, Millennium Copthorne and Marriott Hotels and Resorts.  Additionally, Laura majored in Liberal Arts at SUNY Nassau Community College, then went on to hone her culinary skills at the French Culinary Institute.  Laura most recently received her professional certification from NYU in Social Media and Online Marketing.
