I totally agree and support Henry's position posted above. Although I did not participate in the PB…Read More throughout the eight plus months of dedicated volunteer work that Henry and several other community advocates put into this program, I did attend some initial meetings and feel the entire concept of the PB empowers the citizenry of the 19th District and allows them to directly allocate where funding is most deserving by their vote.
Any action taken by Speaker Quinn and the other City Council Queens delegation members that does not honor the announced winning projects voted by the community residents would be an outrage and should not be allowed to happen.

It is very important that the projects that were approved for funding in the 19th Council district…Read More under the participatory budgeting (PB) project be allocated those monies. The people voted and their choices must be honored. In addition, other projects that were put forth must also be considered for funding, because those ideas came from the people who worked hard to formulate proposals to meet the needs of the communities that make up the district. As a member of the steering committee of the PB project, I saw first hand the dedication and drive of dozens of community residents who wanted to move forward on worthwhile projects that would benefit the people of the 19th district. I would urge Speaker Quinn, Councilmember Comrie and the rest of the Queens delegation to please do their best to ensure that the people of the 19th district are not shortchanged or left out in the cold during this very difficult situation.

The FBI is a tool for political malfeasance at the bequest of the Democrats. We have a system of…Read More democracy in this nation right now which does not work.
A failing economy for many and more corruption embedded in the political system especially in NY Politics.
Had this been New Zealand we would be talking about real issues and getting real business established. But instead we see a backwards structure and a failed system at every level imaginable.
Im sorry but the FBI here is disgusting. They played politics before and have yet done it again. They prosecute the wrong cases for the wrong reasons.

Halloran did not lie about the sanitation workers. In fact I saw the same thing as him. A worker…Read More stowdown as well. He was one of the few honest players in politics at the local level.
I deeply miss the days of Al D'amato as Senator and Ronald Reagan as President, people who you could work with.
Now you have the likes of total corruption rampant throughout. Halloran was in fact innocent and the abuse of power at the Federal level needs to be stopped.
Is it any wonder why the USA is now known as one of the most corrupt nations and NY State is now listed as the most corrupt state in the union. Not because of Halloran, on the contrary, it was because of the democrats who gained control of the state and destoyed the businesses here and the healthcare system and everything else.
Halloran like myself was on the right side of the issues and on history. Obama and his goons are totally shameful zealots on every level in this nation.

What goes on in politics here under this FBI and federal and state government was totally disgusting and wrong.

I am not, in the least bit, surprised. Halloran is a known liar and Smith is a traitor.

Isn't the city council supposed to have oversight over the NYPD? Perhaps they need to do more.
