Dennis Walcott

Bloomberg's educational policies have ruined education in New York City. So much time is spent inRead More test preparation, that all the joy has been taken out of learning. Bloomberg talks about childhood obesity; yet has closed after school programs. He has no respect for parents and teachers and school bus drivers and matrons. I want a mayor who will undo all the harm that Bloombrg has done.

Earth to Walcott: when something is badly broken you should fix it. Bloomberg destroyed theRead More educational system in NYC as we know it. Ask any long time NYC Teacher and you will hear it. Check the educational standards now in place and compare them to twenty years ago and you will see it. Compare the abilities of 8th graders twenty years ago to those in today's NYC classroom and you will know it.

Hopefully Senator Gillibrand's bill will pass. We are so lucky to have her as our senator.

I just wish I knew more about Melinda Katz. Also, I thought that the Queens Democratic leadershipRead More would endorse Austin Shafran, instead of Paul Vallone.
