Weekend Planner: Farm, Art and Planes

1. Queen County Farm Museum

 Enjoy free tours of the historic Adriance Farmhouse, and hayrides at $2 per person. The farm is closed Labor Day. Grounds are open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. See details here

2. Alex Katz Exhibition at the Nassau County Museum in Roslyn

3. World War II Planes in Farmingdale

The American Airpower Museum at Republic will display historic B-25 Mitchell bombers and World War II escort fighters in Farmingdale, along with a squadron of other World War II planes, vintage cars and period armor. The exhibit is part of the museum’s annual Wings, Wheels and Tracks celebration. Flight experiences will also be available in a B-25. The display runs From Friday through Monday, Sept. 2nd, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. See details here. 

4. Sinatra Tribute at Eisenhower Park

Singer and actor Robert Davi will perform a tribute to Frank Sinatra at Eisenhower Park's Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre on Friday. The free "Davi Sings Sinatra" concert begins at 7 p.m. with opening act, comedian Mike Marino. Learn more. 

5. Looking for Love

There’s a speed dating and singles event on Friday from 7:45-9:30 p.m. at the Inn at New Hyde Park. This event is for men ages 51-68; women 50-61. See details.
