Kupferberg Center Lecture, Back to School Festival Highlight Week in NE Queens

Tuesday

On Sept. 3, the Douglaston Little Neck Library will host an art demonstration for adults with Susan Herz. The program begins at 3 p.m. The library is located at 249-01 Northern Blvd. in Little Neck.

Saturday

The city’s Parks Department will host a back to school festival at Alley Pond Park from noon to 3 p.m.


The event will include games, rides, arts and crafts, animal demonstrations and giveaways. For more information, call 718-352-4793, ext. 301.

The Garden City Bird Sanctuary is hosting a fall benefit yard sale at 9 a.m.

Sunday

The Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center and Archives, located at 222-05 56th Ave. on Queensborough Community College's campus, will host a lecture titled "Henry Ford's War on the Jews" at 1 p.m.
