Halloween Events, 'Guys and Dolls' Performance Mark Week Ahead in NE Queens

Also, Cardozo High School will have an open house for eighth graders and Tim Mayotte will provide a free tennis clinic.

Tuesday

Benjamin N. Cardozo High School, located at 57-00 223rd St., will hold an open house for eighth grade students. There will be two sessions for visiting students, starting at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Attendees will learn about admission policies and requirements.

Thursday

Flushing Town Hall, located at 137-35 Northern Blvd., is hosting Halloween Remixed, a combination of Dia de los Muertos, All Saints Day and Hallows Eve at 4 p.m.

Friday

The Douglaston Little Neck Library, located at 249-01 Northern Blvd., will close for a roof renovation and will not reopen until December. In the meantime, a mobile library will provide service on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday

Former Olympic Silver medalist Tim Mayotte will host a free tennis clinic for girls at Cunningham Park from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

St. Robert Bellarmine School, located at 56-10 214th St., in Bayside is holding a Halloween costume dance party at 7 p.m. The event will include a D.J., food and prizes for the best costumes. Tickets, which will not be sold at the door, are $30.

Theatre By the Bay will present "Guys and Dolls" at 8 p.m. at the Bay Terrace Jewish Center, located at 13-00 209th St. in Bayside.

And the Bayside Historical Society will join the Long Island Seekers Club, whose members will guide participants through a live investigation of paranormal activity, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event will include a discussion on the tools and techniques used to investigate the paranormal. Admission is $8 for historical society members and $10 for nonmembers.
