Art Exhibition's Opening Ceremony, Tai Chi Highlight Week Ahead in Northeast Queens

Tuesday

The Bayside Library, located at 214-20 Northern Blvd., is holding a Tai Chi class at 1 p.m. Attendees will learn how to reduce stress and promote greater relaxation. Preregistration is required.

Wednesday

The Samuel Field Y, located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway, will host a Designing Life Transitions Workshop at 11:30 a.m. The event will offer a model for successfully planning life, career and personal transitions.

Bay Terrace's Barnes & Noble, located at 23-80 Bell Blvd., will offer a children's program titled What's Your Favorite Animal? at 11 a.m. It will include a story, crafts and other activities.

Friday

The Douglaston Little Neck Library, located at 249-01 Northern Blvd., will hold an opening reception for an art exhibit by Olga Salamanca. The mixed media show will remain on display through April. 

Sunday

Flushing Town Hall, located at 137-35 Northern Blvd., will hold a Korean mask-making workshop at 1 p.m. Participants will be given an introduction to Korean traditional crafts before coloring and decorating a Bong San T’al Ch’um mask. All materials are included.
