'Aladdin' Sing-a-Long, Zumba Class Highlight Week Ahead in Northeast Queens

Monday

The Bayside Library, located at 214-20 Northern Blvd., is offering a Zumba class at 6:30 p.m. during which instructor Tanya Gonzalez-Jorge will lead a workout fusing of Latin, international and popular music dance themes.

Wednesday

The Douglaston Little Neck Library, located at 249-01 Northern Blvd., will host a sign language program for children, ages 3 years and below, at 1:30 p.m. During the class, certified American Sign Language instructor Jacqueline Ciaramella will teach basic signing vocabulary through stories, songs, rhymes and other activities.

Friday

The Oakland Little Neck Jewish Center, located at 49-10 Little Neck Parkway, is holding Simcha Singles, which will also include a wine tasting, at 8 p.m.

Thursday

The Samuel Field Y, located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway, will hold a workshop on writing cover letters and thank-you-notes to potential employers. The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Saturday

Queensborough Community College's performing arts center, located at 222-05 56th Ave., is holding a karaoke sing-a-long to 1992's "Aladdin" at 7:30 p.m.
