Freezing Week Ahead for Northeast Queens

It's going to be very cold out there this week - but, alas, no polar vortex.

While northeast Queens residents can breathe easy knowing they will not be sucked into a polar vortex this coming week, it's still going to be pretty cold.

Tuesday's high will be 22 degrees, but the low is going to be a shivery 10 degrees, according to the weather forecast. Also, evening snow may leave an an inch or two on the ground.

Wednesday will not be much better, with a high of 19 degrees and a low of 14 degrees.

On Thursday, the temperature will be up slightly to 24 degrees, but the low will be back down to 10 degrees. Some minor snow showers are expected.

Friday's high will be 25 degrees and the low will be 21 degrees.

The weekend will be slightly better as temperatures are expected to hit the mid to high 30s, while the lows will be in the mid 20s.

Next week, northeast Queens can expect temperatures hovering around the high 20s to mid 30s.

So, bundle up.
