Spring Cleaning

Douglas Manor residents took part in a neighborhood-wide yard sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The sale, which was hosted by the Douglas Manor Environmental Association and the community's chamber of commerce, included 38 homes along 21 streets in the neighborhood, including Warwick Avenue, Arleigh Road, Park Lane, Beverly Road and Manor Road.

Attendees picked up their maps at Station Realty, the Douglaston Market and the Douglas Manor Association before seeking out treasures on their neighbors' front lawns. 

Items sold during the sale included everything from clothing and jewelry to books and antique furniture.
