Delays Expected Today on LIRR's Port Washington Line

Necessary Amtrak track work within the East River tunnels disrupting service.

This article was written by Rich Jacques.

The Long Island Rail Road is reporting scattered residual delays of up to 25 minutes into and out of Penn Station Monday on the Port Washington line and other branches due to earlier necessary Amtrak track work within the East River tunnels.

The Port Washington branch makes stops in Bayside, Douglaston and Little Neck.

Some trains to and from Port Washington have been canceled/combined and diverted to Atlantic Terminal or Hunterspoint Avenue.

New York City Transit is no longer cross-honoring fares at this time, according to the MTA.

Check the MTA's website for service updates.
