Here are two fun and tasty cocktails that the staff of Blanchard's like to make. One is inspired by summer fruits and staying as healthy as you can, while the other is for days you can't get to the beach.
As Healthy as a Cocktail Gets
1 bottle of Clifford Bay Sauvignon Blanc
1 Cup St. Germain
2 fresh peaches
6 fresh strawberries
6 fresh raspberries
Recommended but not needed: 1 bunch of white grapes
Stir ingredients in a pitcher or carafe. Soak for approximately 15 minutes to an hour. Serve in an ice-fiilled pitcher. Another good one while you're home and not near any beaches.
Sweet Oceans
4 oz. Moscato
1/2 oz. blue curacao
1/2 oz. vanilla vodka
1/2 oz. raspberry vodka
1 blackberry or strawberry for garnish
1 maraschino cherry, which will sink to the bottom
Shake all ingredients together with ice until very cold. Serve in a martini glass with a blackberry and a maraschino cherry.
