Summer Day Camps for 2013

Looking for places to send the little ones this summer? Here are some quality summer programs near Bayside and Douglaston.

Samuel Field Y
Known for customizing their programs to meet the needs of every camper's schedule, the Samuel Field Y understands that everyone is different. Offering several programs from a full day camp to community service programs for high school students, kids age 2 to 15 can enjoy the summer exploring the many different adventures the Y has to offer.

Queens Country Farm Museum
Partnering with the Samuel Field Y this summer, the Queens Farm Museum will hosts a six-week farm program for campers from 1st to 5th grade. From July 6 to Aug. 12, little ones will get to enjoy the wonders of science, nature and agriculture as they spend the afternoon on one of the last remaining urban farms within the city limits.

World of Discovery Day Camp
Located in Bay Terrace, World of Discovery Day Camp aims "to expand the horizons" of every child. From exploring new territories to discovering new and exciting things about themselves, Campers age 4 to 15 will find themselves playing sports, learning to swim and, most importantly, having fun at the camp's private outdoor pool.

Douglaston School of Music & Art Camp
A great way for children ages 5 and up to have a fun, educational summer, the Douglaston School of Music & Art offers extensive activities ranging from music & art to dance & drama.  Camp is available from July to August.

Forest Lake Camp
Established in 1926, the Forest Lake Camp is a traditional sleep away camp located in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. Campers get four activity periods a day to enjoy sports, arts/crafts, music, hiking and more. At night, attendees go on outings with cabin mates, singing around a campfire or experiencing the wild on an overnight hike.
