Get Ready to Roast

There's a five-day heat wave on the way.

It's going to get nasty out there this way, so be sure to keep those air conditioners cranked up and the sunscreen handy.

According to the weather report, northeast Queens is about to get hit with a heat wave that is expected to last at least five days.

On Monday, the high will be 94 degrees and the overnight low will be 76 degrees. There is a 30 percent chance of rain.

The high will reach 93 degrees on Tuesday and the low will, once again, be 76 degrees.

For Wednesday, the high will be 93 degrees, while the overnight low will be 77 degrees.

The temperature will again reach 93 degrees on Thursday and the low will be 77 degrees, while Friday's high is 92 degrees and the low is 75 degrees.

Next weekend, the temperatures will drop into the high 80s and some rain is expected.
