Today is opening day at Citi Field and the Mets are geared up for three games against the Braves today, Saturday and Sunday.

Here’s Patch’s list of local bars and establishments where you can watch the Mets take on the Braves at Citi Field.

40-12 Bell Blvd. in Bayside

has planned an opening day at Citifield event, which features unlimited drinks, baseball fare, like hot dogs and burgers from 11:30 a.m. to noon as well as plenty of flat screens for your viewing pleasure. Tickets are priced at $65 per person. All is set for game time today at 1:10 p.m.

42-15 235th Street in Douglaston

Visitors can watch the game on any of the 16 HDTVs. Drinks and wings complete this game-winning spot.

39-02 Bell Blvd. in Bayside

Uno's gives sports enthusiasts the joy of sitting at the bar, grabbing a drink and munching on an appetizer, while watching the game on their big-screen TVs. Sit at a table and this becomes one of those family-friendly options you'll want to consider.

This option is for those of you looking for a straight-up bar. Adults only, drinks, food and the game on the screen, keeping you with the basics you so desire!

The local, fresh fruit and vegetable market was a worthwhile addition to Douglaston. Obviously, itRead More did not receive the support of the community, at least not enough to make it a successful venture. This is sad. Every Sunday, rain or shine, I would stop at the market and purchase something. My favorite was the bakery stand. Often, when I stopped in the afternoon I would get two FREE French breads with my purchase. Parking was never a problem. The vendors where friendly and very informative. It was a perfect setting for the picturesque nature of this community. Too bad it is not returning.

Unfortunately, according to the Douglas Manor Association, the fresh fruit and vegetable market willRead More NOT return this year. No specific reason was given other than this was at the initiative of the merchants or the market's organizers. And this..., just as we were beginning to enjoy the Long Island wines and the $34 per pound skirt steak, ordered two months in advance.
