Queens Zoo: Boo at the Zoo Weekend

Boo at the Zoo at The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Queens Zoo is an annual event celebrating Halloween in true zoo fashion. On Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30, guests of the zoo will enjoy a number of Halloween themed activities.

Opening at 11 a.m., and available through 4 p.m., is the Haunted Habitat, which will be in the zoo's Wild Room.

Between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., zookeepers will host Spooky Animal Presentations, which will feature various live animals. Snake lovers, this one's for you!

Pick a Perfect Pumpkin will be open to the first 200 guests, who will get their pick of what they invision of being the perfect pumpkin, as the title suggests!

Also available, between the hours of noon and 3 p.m., is, yes, you guessed it, Face Painting! Kids will enjoy becoming some of their favorite zoo animals, such as lions, pumas, and bears . . . Oh, my!

And what zoo outing would be complete without animal feedings? Pumpkin Enrichment entails feeding pumpkins to pumas, at 1 p.m., and bears, at 2:30 p.m.

Last, but not least, is Trick or Treating, which kids will do throughout the park, at the various treat stations set up by Queens Zoo.

All kids, younger than 12, that are dressed in a costume, and accompanied by an adult, will get in free of charge.
