Pre-registration for Fall Travel Baseball Tryouts for ages 8 - 11

North Shore Athletics Club will be holding tryouts for its 8u, 9u, and 10u baseball teams on August 25th & 26th.

Games will be played on Saturdays or Sundays, depending on age. The season begins on September 15th and runs until October 28th. Games will be played in Nassau and Suffolk County depending on what teams are in our division.

We will hire (2) certified coaches per team in order for players to get the most out of the experience and learn as much about the game as possible.

If you cannot attend the tryouts on August 25th and 26th, please email us and we can set up a group tryout or a single evaluation at a time that works better.

 

Players Will be Evaluated in Key Fundamental Areas:

Fielding, Throwing, Contact,Power,Mechanics,Base running,Baseball IQ

The local, fresh fruit and vegetable market was a worthwhile addition to Douglaston. Obviously, itRead More did not receive the support of the community, at least not enough to make it a successful venture. This is sad. Every Sunday, rain or shine, I would stop at the market and purchase something. My favorite was the bakery stand. Often, when I stopped in the afternoon I would get two FREE French breads with my purchase. Parking was never a problem. The vendors where friendly and very informative. It was a perfect setting for the picturesque nature of this community. Too bad it is not returning.

No specific reason was given other than this was at the initiative of the merchants or the market's organizers. And this..., just as we were beginning to enjoy the Long Island wines and the $34 per pound skirt steak, ordered two months in advance.
