Darryl Strawberry Celebrating 50th Birthday in Douglaston
Former Mets player will host a party at his 235th Street restaurant on March 12.
Former Mets slugger and restaurateur Darryl Strawberry is encouraging Queens residents to join him in celebrating his 50th birthday at his Douglaston eatery on March 12.
The baseball legend, who played for both the Mets and Yankees, will be on-hand at to greet guests, who will receive complimentary birthday cake for their attendance.
The party will be a public event, but those interested in attending should make reservations in advance by calling 718-517-8787.

Mets memorabilia will be raffled off and a DJ will play dance music for the party’s guests.
Strawberry’s Sports Grill is located at 42-15 235th St. in Douglaston.
