Three Bayside Students Placed on University of Scranton's Dean's List

Local students are honored for their academic achievements.

Three northeast Queens students have been added to the dean's list at the University of Scranton.

Jacquelyn Bilik, Andrew Candela and James Maguire were all placed on the list for the fall 2013 semester. The three students hail from Bayside.

To make the University of Scranton's dean's list, a student must earn a 3.5 grade point average.

Bilik is a sophomore with a nursing major at Scranton's Panuska College of Professional Studies, while Candela, a sophomore, is studying occupational therapy at Panuska.

Maguire is a senior who is studying secondary education - citizenship and history at Panuska.

If you know a student who recently made the dean's or president's list or graduated, let us know by emailing nathan.duke@patch.com and we'll put up an announcement.
