P.S. 203 Celebrates Lunar New Year in Oakland Gardens
Students sing, dance and put on elaborate costumes for annual celebration.
Students from Oakland Gardens' P.S. 203 donned elaborate, brightly-colored costumes, took part in skits, danced and played instruments to ring in the Year of the Horse at the school's annual Lunar New Year celebration on Friday.
The school, located at 53-11 Springfield Blvd., put on several performances of its Lunar New Year show for parents, teachers and local elected officials, including state Sen. Toby Stavisky, D-Whitestone, and state Assemblyman Edward Braunstein, D-Bayside.
