Photo: Bayside Students' Martin Luther King Jr.-Inspired Artwork

M.S. 158 students' work will be on display at Albany's Empire State Plaza through February.

Artwork produced by students at Bayside's M.S. 158 and inspired by Martin Luther King Jr., whose birthday will be celebrated on Jan. 20, will be on display through next month at Empire State Plaza.

Ariana Belliard's "We Are Equal" and Grace Na's "Love Defeats Hate" will be displayed at the Albany center through the end of February.

The M.S. 158 students' work was completed as part of the state Division of Minority Women and Business Development's fine art and essay contest for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

In the photo below, state Sen. Tony Avella (l. to r.), Assemblywoman Nily Rozic, Assemblyman Edward Braunstein and state Sen. Toby Stavisky pose next to the students' artwork.
