Parent Talk

For reading and math, it's so important not to regress. So, parents should be making sure reading happens every day, just like during the school year.

Most libraries have summer reading programs of some kind to keep kids motivated. Also, one thing that I do is speak to my child's teacher and get a complete overview of the year's work and then review it during the summer months.

This way, come September, nothing has been forgotten and the kids are ready to move on to their next grade level.
