The Nassau University Medical Center invites students and their families to make a blood donation on the school's campus. The blood drive takes place approximately six times a year because of the high-need for supply.
Dr. Arthur Friedman, co-chair of NCC Blood Drive Task Force, emphasizes the need is critical to help the hospital in its function as a major trauma center.
“Through our educational efforts to increase the number of blood donors, and our own contributions, the College hopes we will help meet a substantial level of the community's blood needs," said Friedman. "We look forward to working in partnership with community residents in this much needed blood drive.”
