CDEC 26 Will Discuss Needs for District Schools at Dec. 6 Meeting

Public meeting will be attended by representatives from the DOE and School Construction Authority.

Community District Education Council 26 is holding a public meeting on Dec. 6 to discuss the city Department of Education’s capital budget plan.

Principals and teachers will provide updated information on a variety of topics, including school overcrowding, school repairs and the need for science, art, music and physical education classrooms.

Representatives from the city’s School Construction Authority will be on-hand to talk about how the capital budget plan will affect District 26, which includes Douglaston, Little Neck, Bayside, Bellerose and Queens Village.

The board will hold its monthly business meeting after the public meeting.

The meeting will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at M.S. 67, which is located at 51-60 Marathon Parkway, Room B44A in Little Neck.
