CDEC 26 to Elect New Officers at July 27 Meeting
Education council to discuss budget for district, elect new president this week.
Community District Education Council 26 will elect its officers for the upcoming year during a meeting Wednesday night at Floral Park's M.S. 172.
The council covers schools in Douglaston, Bayside, Little Neck, Bellerose, Glen Oaks, Fresh Meadows, Oakland Gardens and Queens Village.
CDEC 26 Chairman Rob Caloras announced in March that he would not renew his term as president after eight years of serving as the council's leader.

The group will elect a new president and other officers during this week's meeting, which will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The council will also discuss its budget allocations for the upcoming school year as well as committee assignments and future meeting dates.

M.S. 172 is located at 81-14 257th St. in Floral Park. The meeting will be held in Room 115.
CDEC 26's next meeting will be held on Aug. 24.
