CDEC 26 Has Vacancy for ELL Parent

Community District Education Council 26 has a vacancy for a parent with a child in the district’s English Language Learner program.

An application can be obtained from the parent coordinator at the school the parent’s child attends or at CDEC 26’s district office at M.S. 74, located at 61-15 Oceania St., Room 128 in Bayside.

Completed applications can be faxed to 718-631-1347, emailed to mmason@schools.nyc.gov or hand delivered to the council’s district office.

Applications must be submitted by Oct. 30.

CDEC 26 members are tasked with promoting the achievement of educational standards in the district, holding quarterly meetings with Parent Teacher Association officers, providing assistance to school leadership teams, playing a role in evaluating the community superintendent and approving zoning lines submitted by the superintendent.

The council covers schools in Bayside, Douglaston, Little Neck, Bellerose, Auburndale, Queens Village and Glen Oaks.
