Bayside, Douglaston Students Honored for Academics

Two students make president's and dean's lists, while another is initiated into a selective honor society.

Two Bayside residents and another from Douglaston have been honored for academics at their respective colleges.

Deanna D’Alessio, of Bayside, was named to the president’s list at Hudson Valley Community College.

D’Alessio is in the non-matriculated academic program at the Troy-based college. To make the president’s list, a student must earn between a 3.5 and 4.0 grade average.

Bayside’s Brian Wren was named to the dean’s list at Providence College. To make the list, students must earn at least a 3.5 grade average with a minimum of 12 credits.

And Douglaston’s Lawrence Faulkenberry has been initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, which is the nation’s oldest and most selective honor society.
