The Queens Democratic Party picked state Assemblywoman Grace Meng, D-Flushing, to run for the newly created Sixth Congressional District following U.S. Rep. Gary Ackerman's .
But state Assemblyman Rory Lancman, D-Fresh Meadows, has also thrown his hat in the ring and City Councilman Dan Halloran, R-Whitestone, is said to be considering a run for the seat.
