Who is Running for Election in Queens?
Meet the candidates running for the November 2011 general election on Tuesday.
This Tuesday is more than just a . It's election day for several Queens offices: District Attorney, six State Supreme Court Justices and one Queens Council seat. Here's a list of candidates:
For Queens District Attorney: Incumbent Richard Brown, who has been the DA in Queens since 1991, is running unopposed. He has the nomination of the Conservative, Democratic and Republican parties. You can read more about him here.
For District 28 City Council Member: Incumbent Ruben Wills is running unopposed on the Democratic line. He was voted in to office during a special election in 2010. You can read more about him here. Council District 28 encompasses South Jamaica, South Ozone Park and Richmond Hill.

For 11th Judicial District Justice of the Supreme Court: There are 12 people on the ballot running to be supreme court justices for all of Queens. Voters must pick 6. Here are their names, party affiliations, and biographies:
