Weprin to Host Job Fair on Sept. 12

A total 72 businesses will take part in fair.

State Assemblyman David Weprin, D-Little Neck, is hosting a community job fair on Thursday that will include 72 businesses.

The fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tolentine Hall, located 150-75 Goethals Ave. in Jamaica. The parking lot is accessible via Union Turnpike.

The free event is aimed at helping those affected by Hurricane Sandy or the economic downturn.

A total 72 businesses will take part in the fair, including Delta Airlines, Verizon Wireless, Sovereign Bank, Time Warner Cable, Affinity Health Plane and Duane Reade.

A number of city agencies, such as the Housing Authority and Board of Elections, will also be in attendance.

Those who attend should wear business attire and bring 25 to 60 copies of their resume.
