Weprin to Hold Town Hall Meeting on May 22

Guests Will Include the Department of Homes Commissioner and Representatives from State Agencies

State Assemblyman David Weprin, D-Little Neck, will host a town hall meeting next weekend at Little Neck’s Samuel Field Y during which representatives from several city and state agencies will answer questions from attendees.

The town hall will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on May 22 at the Y, which is located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway.

Darryl Towns, who was recently appointed as commissioner of the state’s Department of Homes and Community Renewal, will discuss rent regulations, affordable mortgage products and the state’s mortgage agency during the meeting.

Representatives from several state agencies, including the Department of Insurance, the Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage Program and the Comptroller’s Unclaimed Funds Program, will also attend.

Community residents will be able to question representatives from city agencies, such as the Department of Finance.
