VIDEO: Assemblyman Collects Endorsements at 'Women for Weprin' Event
Female legislators rally for Democrat on steps of Borough Hall.
Assemblyman David Weprin, D-Little Neck, collected nearly a dozen endorsements on Thursday, all from female legislators across the city urging voters to support him in the interest of women's issues.
Saying that Weprin has been a strong supporter of women's healthcare and reproductive rights, female leaders included City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, State Sen. Toby-Ann Stavisky, City Council members Elizabeth Crowley and Karen Koslowitz and more.
