Schumer Endorses Vallone's Bid for Halloran's Council Seat

U.S. senator gives the nod to Flushing attorney.

U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., has thrown his weight behind Flushing attorney Paul Vallone in his bid for Councilman Dan Halloran’s seat.

The senator gave his endorsement to Vallone’s campaign on Monday.

“I have known the Vallone family for decades and their respected name and commitment to public service have made the people of Queens proud to call them their own,” Schumer said. “I know that Paul Vallone can be counted on to restore honesty and integrity to the 19th City Council seat while keeping our streets safe and our schools strong.”
