Report: Kelsey Grammer Mulling Run for Mayor

The former "Frasier" star is looking to become a career politician.

Kelsey Grammer has his sights set on a new role. The former “Frasier” star told the New York Post that he would like to run for mayor—probably in New York, since he lives here now.

Grammer is reportedly a conservative Republican, and a backer of small right wing cable network called Rightnetwork. The network wasn’t his first foray into politics. During the last presidential election, he endorsed former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, but campaigned for Sen. John McCain.

"I have had a great career and extraordinary opportunities," the recently divorced, and recently re-married thespian told The Post. "But I look at my political aspirations as that last piece of my life -- where I hope to do something good for people and pay back a little."

The actor, who reportedly has $100 million in wealth—mostly from "Frasier" residuals, will be playing fictional Chicago Mayor Tom Kane in an upcoming Starz network drama called “Boss.”

No word on when he will set aside his acting career to pursue his political aspirations.

Stick to the BoobTube. This guy can't stay loyal or commited to one wife.Who would want another bored Actor who sleeps around on his spouse and children, running for an election to public office.

"...where I hope to do something good for people and pay back a little." The man is obviously confused about his chosen party's goals.

He can't even keep his own house in order, so how does he expect to run an entire state. Unless he plans to turn it into a massive state of confusion like his personal life.
