Throgs Neck Lane Closures
Expect delays on the Throgs Neck Bridge during these hours throughout the next few weeks.
You better re-route your internal GPS for the next week and a half.
A lane closure in the direction of Queens will cause delays on the through Nov. 18, according to MTA Bridges and Tunnels office.
The right southbound lane of the bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays, and 10p.m. to 7a.m. on weekends. Over dimensional vehicles won't be allowed on the bridge at any time of the day until Nov. 18.

Drivers of regular sized vehicles should use an alternate route, like the Whitestone Bridge, to get to the Bronx.
The MTA says the closure is necessary to allow for the application of an orthotropic deck binder membrane, and install a new asphalt surface to a one-third of a mile long portion of the bridge's roadway.
