Mark Weprin along with UFT leaders meet with residents to discuss potential teacher layoffs

Dozens turned out to P.S. 205 Q for a town hall meeting hosted by Council Member Mark Weprin and the United Federation of Teachers on Thursday afternoon.

Among those who attended were concerned parents, teachers and United Federation of Teachers Union Officials, none of whom said they supported teacher layoffs.

Thursday's town hall meeting was the first of five events organized by local politicians who also oppose the Mayor's proposed teacher layoffs.
