NYC Pools Open for Summer

Dust off your swim trunks and get out there.

If you're looking for a place to take a quick dip (or even a long, drawn-out dip), New Yorkers need look no further than the city's 54 public pools, which opened Wednesday. 

The borough of Queens is home to 10 of the city's pools. Residents of Little Neck have easy access to Flushing Meadows Corona Park Pool & Rink, as well as Castlewood Playground, which, though somewhat smaller than its Flushing counterpart, is conveniently located on Little Neck Parkway and 72nd Avenue.

For those looking for a high-end swimming experience, try out . Tired of lounging in the sun? The center also offers activities like tennis and Canasta lessons, as well as regularly scheduled entertainment. Access to the pool, however, comes with a cost: Membership is $425 for adults and $225 for kids.
