U.S. Rep. Grace Meng, D-Flushing, will kick give Queens residents she represents a chance to voice their concerns when she kicks off “Congress on Your Corner” later this month.
Meng will take part in a series of visits to the communities in her district during which residents can discuss issues in their communities or just drop by to meet their new congresswoman.
The first “Congress on Your Corner” event be held at the Middle Village Library, which is located at 72-31 Metropolitan Ave., from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on March 27.
“It is critical for members of Congress to ensure that they are accessible to their constituents and meeting with the people I am privileged to represent is a top priority of mine,” Meng said.
The congresswoman said she intended to host “Congress on Your Corner” events throughout her district, which includes Bayside, Auburndale, Flushing, Forest Hills, Fresh Meadows, Kew Gardens and Rego Park.
