Meng Meets President Obama
Queens congresswoman gets face time with the President in second month in office.
U.S. Rep. Grace Meng, D-Flushing, met President Barack Obama last week during a Democratic issues conference in Virginia.
It was part of a big week for the new legislator, who also grabbed a plum spot as the top Democrat on the Subcommittee on Contracting and Workforce, a part of the House Small Business Committee.
Meng also stood with Queens legislator Gregory Meeks, of southeast Queens, during the president's entrance for the recent State of the Union Address.
