Lhota Visits Headquarters for NE Queens GOP State Committee Candidates

Mayoral candidate and Councilman Eric Ulrich drop by Bayside headquarters for Sal Bacarella and Anne Marie Devlin.

Mayoral candidate Joe Lhota and Councilman Eric Ulrich, R-Ozone Park, dropped by Bayside last weekend for the debut of campaign headquarters for two Republican state committee candidates.

Lhota, who is the former chairman of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and a mayoral contender on the GOP line, visited the Bayside headquarters of 26th Assembly District state committee candidates Sal Bacarella and Anne Marie Devlin on Saturday.

“It’s very important that we change the Republican Party in New York and it’s going to start right here in Queens,” Lhota said. “I’m going to do everything I can to make sure we get the right leaders elected.”

Bacarella and Devlin are running against County Chairman Phil Ragusa and former Board of Elections Commissioner Judith Stupp.

“The scandals of the past months and years have plagued this party long enough,” Bacarella said. “Today, we move in a new direction. As Ronald Reagan might have said, ‘It’s morning in northeast Queens.’”
