New York City voters will have three chances to watch debates between Democrat Bill de Blasio and Republican Joe Lhota in the 2013 mayor's race, the campaigns announced Tuesday morning.

While Lhota's campaign wanted to hold weekly debates, according to published reports, the two finally settled on a three debate structure, each one week apart.

The first debate will take place on Oct. 15, followed by another on Oct. 22, with the final debate on Oct. 29.

All three debates will be televised locally and will begin at 7 p.m.
