City On Alert For Snow, But We'll likely Get Rain

The Dept. of Sanitation is preparing equipment to avoid any roadway tie ups.

Will you spend your Leap Day shovelling?

According to the Bayside Patch Weather Bug, probably not. The chance of rain is close to 100 percent with a low of 37 degrees forecasted.

One inch of snow was forecasted yesterday for today, but the city's Department of Sanitation is taking no chances. The City issued a snow alert for Feb. 29.

The Dept. of Sanitation will have staff on standby, and plows and salt spreaders ready to spring into action.

Check in with the Bayside Patch weather report to see how the local snow outlook shapes up as the day goes on.
