Former Councilwoman and Queens Borough President candidate Melinda Katz spoke before the Queens chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays this week.
Katz earned the stamp of approval from Rev. Floyd Flake in a bit of a surprise endorsement this past week as well.
Other candidates in the crowded borough president race include Councilman Peter Vallone Jr., D-Astoria, state Sen. Tony Avella, D-Bayside, state Sen. Jose Peralta, D-Jackson Heights, Councilman Leroy Comrie, D-St. Albans, and Deputy Queens Borough President Barry Grodenchik.
