Halloran to Host Free Mammograms, Health Fair and Homeowners Night in September

Northeast Queens residents will be able to get a free mammogram and blood pressure screening during events.

Councilman Dan Halloran, R-Whitestone, will host a free mammogram event, health fair and a homeowners night with the city's Department of Housing in September.

Halloran, R-Whitestone, and the American Italian Cancer Foundation will provide free mammograms and clinical breast exams at 166-08 24th Road from on Sept. 13.

On Sept. 22, the councilman will host a health fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Kevin's Church, located at 45-21 194th St. in Whitestone.

Free services at the event will include health and blood pressure screenings.
Halloran and the Department of Housing, Preservation and Development will hold a homeowners night on Sept. 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Church on the Hill, located at 167-07 35th Ave. in Whitestone.

Representatives from various city agencies, such as the Department of Buildings and Department of Finance, will answer questions relating to home ownership.
