Halloran Sets Up New Law Practice

Councilman's new law practice follows announcement earlier this year that he would not seek reelection.

Councilman Dan Halloran, R-Whitestone, has set up a new law practice after having announced earlier this year that he would not seek reelection.

The councilman was arrested in early April after he allegedly attempted to use bribery get Malcolm Smith, a Democrat, on the Republican mayoral ballot.

Halloran's new practice's website describes it as being "a one-stop shop for all your legal needs." It covers everything from general practice and litigation to business law.

"He goes to committee meetings and comes into the office, which is still fully staffed," a spokesman for Halloran said of the new law practice. "The office is still fully operational. Every other attorney on the City Council has their own private law practice."

The address for Halloran's practice is 166-06 24th Road in Whitestone.
